without tooting my own horn too much, the demo was pretty fucking good and i want to make sure to top that... so yes, i'm taking my time to say the least... i keep scrapping riffs all the fucking time and totally rewriting huge parts of songs, trying different guitar sounds & drum samples etc... but hopefully it's worth it in the end

i would literally kill to be where you are right now in terms of sound engineering/recording knowledge + experience

the funny thing is noone has really heard how things i record today sound, with the new sound engineering knowledge i have (and i'm fuckloads better at guitar too) so... well. i mean the demo was really fucking nekro in regards to recording techniques and it's basically not "produced" or "mixed" at all in the traditional sense.

i guess my "norrskensdrömmar" cover shows a little bit of my newfound engineering/mixing skills but it was pretty quickly done on the other hand

Yeah I hear you, I feel the exact same way about my demo. Basically I had the ENTIRE EP written, now I'm back to about half a song. I'll use 3 or 5 riffs, but this is going to be BETTER.

Well, that's how it works when you search something original. I dunno how the Marras ended up to be, but basically the original plan was to re-record everything from the demo and add few new songs and the result was, that none of the song from the demo (Kaste) was re-recorded and all songs were new and the old songs were released in the way they were recorded on Tuoni-demo.

A lot of work, but that's they way...

I also have these metal-demos, that I dunno what to do...some I already published here. I have been re-recording them, but will they ever come out....I have no idea.

Haha, I would make everything possible to get Erik to sing on some parts, but it seems impossible, as the lyrics are in Finnish. Not that Erik would do those anyway, hehe...
