Off to see Nevermore in eight hours

No you guys, I was talking about this group everyone seems to be joining on Facebook which claims Dio was eaten by a dragon.

No, it just precludes the existence of deities, not spirituality. Spirituality can refer to an ultimate or immaterial reality(did a wiki for a more accurate def), and it can include the said afterlife. 'Afterlife' is also a pretty broad term.

Indeed. Agnosticism would be a better term to describe what Uneasy_Conscience was talking about.

He's not talking about anything, really. All he did was say "yes it does".

As for agnosticism, you missed the ball there. Agnostics (like myself) do not preclude neither a deity, nor an afterlife. An agnostic says the debate between atheists and theists is completely pointless, because neither can prove its own point or disprove the other. Therefore, an agnostic accepts that no human being knows, or will ever know, the reality or irreality of a god or afterlife, at least not in this life. Agnosticism does not accept the reality of a divine being and/or afterlife, nor does it reject it.

but it leans more to precluding an afterlife than atheism does
By saying you're unsure of something you're more inclined to not believe in it.
/my opinion

I see what you mean, but that's not the way agnosticism works. Agnosticism says only one thing: we don't know. Not that there is a chance of this or a bigger possibility of that - just that we don't know.

I know the theory behind it, I just perceived it a bit differently I suppose, filtered through personal experience and all..as little as it is..
But heads up Iris!
