Hi buddy. I did some research and the last condition of the island is like that:
1. Cyprus has been accepted to EU as a whole.
2. To be accepted as a EU member, people must have Cyprus id (all southern Cyprus citizens have it), but most of the turkish people living in north side don't have a Cyprus id
But they started to apply for it.3. The thing is, the "Cyprus" that EU is taking serious is the Southern Cyprus government. Because this government is known valid as most of the world countries (as it represents the continuum of the old Cyprus government somehow), but there is also another government in the northern part which is not known officially as EU or any other country (except Turkey and Pakistan
). So these people have their own id as the northern Cyprus turkish republic. This government was let to be formed after the line was drawn in the middle of Cyprus by the Turkish army to stop the fight between both sides i think (i was thought) then in the eighties.Oh what am i doing here, these things gave me a head ache, what the hell just keep on rocking, that's what counts
