Shit I've even had beer in pancakes. Makes them more crisp. Not "american pancakes" though, but thin "swedish" ones. Like these http://www.pannkakor.nu/images/pannkakor_1.jpg. It kind of worked. I mean essentially for cooking beer is like liquid flour.

Sorry...I just don't buy into that kind of bullshit:)
Well that's entirely up to you of course!

"A popular saying among self-proclaimed chili purists is "If you know beans about chili, you know chili ain't got no beans". The thought that beans do not belong in chili may be further credited to the fact that most official chili cookoffs do not allow beans. In many cases a chili will be disqualified if it contains such ingredients considered filler.[2]" - Wiki

I don't like beans though so I buy into this easily. Beans are disgusting and they make you disgusting. Farts and smell for minimal taste.

Beer is made from malted barley. Malted barley is used for a large number of cooking ingredients. It is only a natural fit for beer to be added - you get residual sweetness from the unfermented sugars, plus a kick from the yeast and hops flavor profiles.

Any cooked alcohol will evaporate though.

beans ftw:heh: I actually have a cast-iron digestive system so I never have any adverse reactions to any food at all (really)...so gas is not the slightest worry for me! I would settle for a compromise of calling it Chili-with-beans if the Chili purists must insist. :)

Zach and Charis- Most of the recipes I'm seeing online have beer in them, so I'll give that a go. i don't know about tacos though:lol: I think what I'll end up doing is taking a few recipes I like and come up with some bastardized cross-bred chili of my own. Update to follow...

I once drank a cup filled with about 30-40 packets of the "fire" sauce from Taco Bell and was fine.

For the record...I made $30 dollars for that, just so you guys don't think I'm a COMPLETE loon...

Helena, AR

Another example of the ACLU missing the mark, protecting criminals instead of law-abiding citizens.

Fucking disgusting pig of a mayor had the balls to say this?

"Now if somebody wants to sue us, they have an option to sue, but I'm fairly certain that a judge will see it the way the way the citizens see it here," Mayor James Valley said. "The citizens deserve peace, that some infringement on constitutional rights is OK and we have not violated anything as far as the Constitution."

No. fuck that. That is NEVER ok. People fought and died for those rights, and it's an insult to their memory to even suggest such a thing. Fuck that guy, they should put HIM on patrol and see how he lasts.

The most interesting thing about it is it wouldnt take that much to clean this place up, but somehow that would infringe on constitutional rights, but I dont think those guys were expecting this "extreme" society could even exist or pervert and press the issue of the origional ideals behind the constitution.

how does a town even become that crime ridden? something is wrong all the way from the top..

its a cultural, population and economical issue throughout many areas of the states, most all urban areas and across the south, its a sad reality, one can not say much more without becoming a politically incorrect bad person, its not going to change because nobody is going to do anything about it and the one side blind, politically correct compassionates will put up a fuss if proper actions were made. Its our own version of the third world

Not knowing the specifics of that town (and you really can't without actually living there), I do agree that by throwing aside even just a little bit of the overly "PC" bullshit that clouds so many issues and not being afraid to do what needs to be done (I'm not implying anything specific here at all, just saying that usually there are clear solutions once you get over the "everyone needs to be happy about this" mindset). For example...in the county where my parents live in VA (Prince William county...it made national headlines for this, if anyone saw), the number of illegals was getting a bit out of control and it was becoming a noticeable problem. Don't get me wrong, it was never a "bad" area, but nevertheless...A resolution was passed that gave public employees and organizations more rights to deny services to illegals. It also force police to check the residency status of ANYONE being caught breaking a law or in police custody. "Coincidentally" within months after this passed, crime in the county had gone down 19% and in the next county over, it had gone up 22%. Whodathunkit?
