Official RC Snobby Beer Purchases Thread

Currently having a Samichlaus Bier!
Not that good but easily worth a try.

For the unknowledgeable: the strongest lager in the world 14% and FOR BEING 14% it's very good, but that means 3.25 out of 5 in real measures.
Much prefer the earlier riggwelter but this will be what tips me over to the slightly intoxicated side.

we've been drinking otter creek world tour, magic hat, and peak organic. not snobby really, but its fucking sweet.

peak organic is outrageously good for what it is, by the way.

Enjoyin' a couple of these tonight, with more to come this weekend:

light beer sucks, but sam adams light is definitely the best. that is because it's not technically a light beer, it is just a variety of sam adams that has less calories than the other lagers/ales.

seriously though, has anyone tried peak organic? i expected something pretty good, but it is actually really superb. i've had some CRAP organic brews too. it's expensive but i definitely recommend it. they only make six-packs, but apparently they just released 12-packs and you can get KEGS!!!!

I agree. I prefer stouts actually, but can drink much more light beer, so that's what I stick to usually. Sam Adams Light has 112 calories and 9.6 carbs per bottle, which isn't bad.

Bass ale rules, I had a few the other night. Tonight I had a Sam Adams Brown Ale, River Horse Belgian Tripel Ale (10% ABV), and River Horse Frostbitten Belgian winter ale. Great stuff.
Right now Im moving on to greener pastures though.

tried this framboise lambic a few nights ago, it was completely not what i was expecting, just tasted like raspberries but it was good...was it worth $6 for one bottle? no. how did i end up dating somebody who doesn't like good beer!?

to her credit, she's more of a whiskey on the rocks girl but dammit :erk:

Otter Creek makes a pretty good version of the Finnish beer "Sahti". I'm sure it doesn't taste anything like the real product, but it gets you sloppy and tastes like gold.
