I just can't get enough of this album. I've been listening to it continuously for almost a week now. I can't believe my ears this is so good. It's really a miracle that after the last three dissapointments this band managed to put out something this good. It's definitely in my top three albums of Queensryche.
I strongly strongly suggest you to get it and give it a couple of listens and you'll be hooked for life :)

It's so much better than anything they've done since 'Promised Land'. I had no interest in even hearing 'OM2' until I saw people start saying good things about it. When I finally heard it, I was so happy. 'Ryche was my favorite band for so long that I hated not being interested in them anymore...this one restored my faith in them. Now if they can channel this same passion and fire into more records, that would be awesome!

I heard the single and, taking their classic albums out of the equation, it wasn't TOO bad. I agree, definitely something that could have come after Promised Land (which was the last album I cared for by them). I'll be interested to hear the rest.

There are many like you, and ALL of them changed/will change their minds. The non deaf ones that is.
As i said in another board, talent is not something measurable..they never lost it or spent it. I still haven't heard the album carefully, because i'm waiting to buy it and listen to it in my stereo while reading the lyrics, but i can say that the one time i heard it was fucking intense.
I have a feeling that they won't release any other album .. just make a big tour playing the 2 Mindcrimes with a big show etc..and that's it.

I don't think I know exactly what you're getting at with this statement.

I do see the possibility of 'OM2' being the one big 'Thank You And Goodnight' from the band...it would make sense.

And, just how much is the record company paying you for this glowing endorsement? :Smug: Your posts reek of Rhino's financial incentives.

I don't know - the two songs that I've heard from it have both been subpar.

The album in it's in entirety is complete mediocracy. All in all it was a lame attempt at making a part II of OM. But hey a ton of people will buy it, and that gives the band a nice wad of cash in their pocket. So I guess mission accomplished.

Swat, saying that it's already cliche, man. These were your thoughts on the album before you even listened to it. Now, you superficially gave it a listen in between two Opeth albums and come here saying that. I'm sure that should you really listen to it, you won't say that anymore.
