Opeth album mixed in ...Ripley!!

Holy crap!!!!

I just saw on the official Opeth site that they mixed the new album 'Deliverance' in Ripley which is about 3 miles away from where I live now and 1 mile away from where I grew up!

Dammit!!!!

if i knew that when they were there I could have met up with them or something!

According to one website, it's the Ripley in Derbyshire. Of course, it doesn't help that there's 4 Ripleys in England.

oh really?

i read a review originally which said it was recorded in surrey. then i checked on the official site which said ripley and i put two and two together. the reviewer could have got his ripleys mixed up i suppose!

Andy Sneap's studios are in "my" Ripley, in Derbyshire. That's just a few miles from me. I wish I'd have known at the time... still, there's always next album.
