Anyone pick it up yet? I have avoided downloading it and it came out yesterday. Just went to Sanity and Borders and neither had it. Sanity are'nt getting it at all unless I order it... Funilly enough, the guy in line ahead of me ordered it.. but I didn't. 2 weeks. Fuck that.

Borders had it ordered and should have got it yesterday, but didn't come :(

I've had it for about a month. Downloading is stealing. :)
A decent album and a welcome return to form following the Damnation/Deliverence rubbish.

But I like Opeth :(

Sydo... I thought Damnation was fantastic. Deliverance had some awesome songs like Wreath, A Fair Judgement and the title track, but you're probably right that it isn't in the same league as Blackwater Park, Still life or My arms.....

But you should give damnation another go.

I didnt even realise they had a new album out either. Oh well!

The heavy album was ok. Which one was that? Deliverance? The other one was pretty boring though. I dont really listen to opeth anymore. Too busy listening to Danger Danger, Harem Scarem and Talisman :headbang:

Yeah... He produced from Blackwater Park onwards. Played some of the keys on Damnation and Deliverence too I think and helped a bit with the arrangments.

He is also the singer/guitarist/pianist and songwriter for Porcupine Tree :headbang:

I thought it was a bit boring, but I might try again. I was always waiting for a heavy bit to come crashing through to break the monotony..

Better acoustic albums;
12:5
Book Of Shadows (Zakk Wylde)
One Live Night (Dokken)
My Kung Fu Is Good
Kiss - MTV Unplugged. :)

It is mellow, but there is plenty of electric guitars and solos and shit.

Not enough though. Just wait to you hear Zakk bang out the solo at the end of Sold My Soul and you'll understand.. :headbang:

I will give Damnation another listen though.. I remember enjoying some of it.

I saw a few copies at JB Hi-Fi today. I didn't know they had a new one either.

I didn't buy it though, because Opeth no longer interest me.

Damnation and Deliverance were both quite decent I thought.

You know Kem, you're right. They aint bad at all. I just like to stir..
But certainly they don't compare to well with either Blackwater Park or My Arms Your Hearse. I'm not really even the biggest Opeth fan, but I do love those albums.
