CoB - Nice fast leads and great Keyboards.
Opeth - Intricate Melodic Riffs w/ Interrupted Time changes.

Opeth - Don't Need them. Songs too Intricate to make Videos.

CoB - Have Same style and Rythm on all their LP's.

Opeth - Writes what no one else can.

wonderful, another bashing thread. i like both bands alot, there both awsome at what they do, and thats play music. i would guess alot of Bodom fans dont like Opeth cause the songs are too long, i can see that since the longest bodom song is like what? 5 and a half minutes??

First album was very Neoclassical
Second Was more Heavy MEtal/Neoclassical
Third was Extremelyu melodic MEtal
Fourth was HArdcore punk with screamo vocals and insane solos

i like both bands, and im not sure i understand how your scoring system works. it seems to just be based on what you prefer, which makes the whole thing useless and pointless.

Actually I can't compare them on a FORUM...It's pointless cause everyone goes through VIBES. CoB is mainly for Jumping, Thrashing and tearing shit up. Opeth is for the Mature Metal head that doesn't want to let go with more DEEPNESS to the Genre. And Frankly I fucked up. CoB and Opeth Should NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER be in the same Sentence. Ever....It's Blasphemy. CoB is Death Metal Opeth is Opeth Genre. It's a fact =)

Opeth is timeless music, and will be remembered, where as Children of Bodom will die along with melodic/neoclassical death metal. I like both bands, but in terms of listening, I would vote Opeth 100% over CoB.
