OT: Anyone know what's going on with the Galaxy in Santa Ana, CA?

Doesn't look like they have anything booked for the rest of the year. Going out of business I guess? That really sucks, as even though it's a drive for me, it's been my favorite place to see bands for years now.

I only bring it up here since the Maidens have played there frequently.

The Galaxy is no longer. They are moving some shows to The Coach House, but it's gonna suck with no more Galaxy shows.

Yeah, Bummer when stuff happens like this to clubs people regularly frequent. Same thing happened to the Backroom here in Austin.

Rumor has it that it has been bought out and is going to be completely revamped....

I was afraid of that. Serious bummer, I really liked that place, and they had a lot of great bands there. I hope the rumors of a revamp are true. Thanks for the info.

The building's lease came up and they didn't have the money (don't know how that's possible) to renew it. Kinda sucks for the OC since the HOB doesn't have metal anymore.

Guess it's back to living on the Sunset Strip like old school metalheads lol

Speaking of OC venues, what happened to the Celebrity Theater in Anaheim?

I did a google search and didn't find info about a show there more recent than 1991, I think the last I went there was 1993.
