I was taping my CDs as always to carry them everywhere. When I was about to record Place of Skulls "With Vision" the CD make a weird sound while spinning (kinda like old diskettes when they failed to read on the driver), but it was playing so i gave no attention. I left it recording and took a nap.

When I woke up i found the CD frozen on track 5

, so I put it again and now the CD refuse to spin or be recognized by the CD player (my old reliable Technics model 1992). Immediately i put another CD and of course it plays silently and perfectly, so I put back the POS album and the same shite, the weird sound and didn't read the tracks well.

Alright so I pick the CD went to my smaller Sony model 2006 sound system, put the damn slab and the CD wasn't even recognized (No disc, read the LCD) by now I'm really pissed

since the album plays perfectly on my computer.

Finally I took it made a copy with Nero and what do you know, the copy runs smooth as a baby's shaven ass on my Technics

This is a Southern Lord production, it doesn't have any indication or warning that the CD cannot play in stand alone units or old units or whatever, it doesn't says anything about piracy protection either (obviously I copied it and ripped it too).

Has anyone have a weird episode like this? o_O

Thats weird, are you saying your original CD wouldnt play or that the copy you tried to burn didnt play?

The original would not play on my 1992 Technics or my 2006 Sony, but plays perfectly on my DVD-Rom in the computer.

The copy plays perfectly everywhere :zombie:
