I never played Evermore, but I heard great things about it. And unfortunately I must disagree with you Tubbs...Chrono Trigger is easily the best RPG I've ever played. So engrossing...so fun...so much time travel...and ten endings before multiple endings were in. Chrono Trigger pwns

My boyfriend never played through Chrono Trigger until I made him buy one for his PS1. I couldn't believe he had never played it, being the video game nut that he is. Of course I'm just now getting into Chrono Cross and I only got into the Final Fantasy series last year.

Chrono Cross...the soundtrack for that game astounds me. But unfortunately, I can't get into the game. I tried playing it 2 or 3 times, and I kinda get bored with it 5 hours in. The loading times KILL me

I meant it as in "I miss the concept of catridges aka no loading time", I also have heaps of cartridge games

It's just that all the new games coming out all have loading times.

the one downside to disc based systems, but I hope they integrate hardrive loading into ps3 and 360, that will curb loading to a minimum, I know it does on FF XI

I can live with loading times...But the game has to be good and long to deserve loading times you know... I don't want a borring ass crappy game to have long ass Loading times because it wouldn't be worth it! At least you have somethign to look forward to when the loading is done in Final Fantasy games !

I've been trying to figure out the music to the entire game, so I can make a huge instrumental Metal Opera Tribute to that game. Why? 3 reasons:

A. I'm a loser.
B. The music in that game is probably some of the best video game music ever written. (And it's all MIDI!!)
C: Because Chrono Trigger > Everything

Isn't there an orchestral version of the Chrono Trigger OST? I'm almost positive I've heard orchestrated versions of some of the themes...either that, or I've lost my mind.

If I'm not mistaken, Nobuo composed some of the songs for Chrono Trigger too. That man is a musical genius.

I've completed VII and played VIII for about 20 hours or so. So of those two I prefer VII more. Absolutely great musics in both games and nice well put stories.
