So I'm sitting here listening to Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd and I'm thinking to myself: "Is it possible that there is any lead guitar tone in the history of rock that is superior David Gilmour's tone on the outro solo?"

Right now, I think not. That lead still makes the hair stand up on my arms. Even greater considering it was recorded in 1978-79.

Sorry to go so far off topic, but this forum is a real snore these days.

Just saw Roger Waters on Friday, and now I want them to get back together more than ever. The band he had was tight, but still not Gilmour....
