Surprisingly, my head didn't hurt that much. My stomach, on the other hand, feels like shit still.

Do you find that if you smell anything that smells even remotely like anything you drank, you feel like hurling all over again? That's why I quit drinking to begin with. I only drink "fruity girl drinks" so a trip to the kitchen was way more than I could handle, and didn't find it to be worth it.

I can't drink rum anymore. I went to the Bahamas and destroyed myself with that stuff. The slightest smell of that stuff will make me hurl:Puke: The only thing that I can drink is scotch on the rocks and beer.

I did all my damage with peach schnapps. I couldn't even walk past the schnapps shelf at the grocery store for months afterward. IF I were to drink again, it would be rum and coke, or one of the "girly fruity drinks" my husband hates so much when I order them.

I've never ever liked beer. I think it comes from all of those parties in high school choking down Bud in a can because that's all there was, because I can tolerate Killian's Red in draft form, but not many places carry that.

I've made myself sick on pretty much all types of booze at different times in my life. Yet rather than learning from my mistakes, I plug my nose, choke it back, and reaquire a taste again.

-Sambuca used to make me sick, then I lit it on fire.
-Rum used to make me sick, then they were giving it away for free on a cruise I was on, so we made up really quick.
-Got sick on beer once, but beer and I just can't stay mad at each other.
-Tequilla...well, there are so many variations on how you can drink it, from margaritas, to striaght up, to with a lemon and salt, to with tobasco sauce, to with graham crackers...if you get sick on one, you just switch to another

Actually, maple syrup goes better with rum.

My grandfather was a bush pilot that explored a lot of the Canadian north, and as a result has a bunch of stuff named after him, including 2 lakes, a street in Yellowknife...and a rum drink.

The drink is more of a shooter, really: you take a swig of maple syrup, let it coat your mouth, then take a swig of dark rum (his preference was Lamb's Navy).

i think my new goal in life is to get a drink named after me.

Well, it sure won't contain 4oz of Patron tequila, 2oz triple sec, and 2oz of blue curacao (the contents of the drink that did me in...of course, I downed my glass and hubby's glass within 15 minutes).

It would probably contain vodka. Me likey vodka.
