Seriously. He had a two week break and went back this week. So I thought on his first day back I'd get a mountain of crap from the teacher. She usually sends stuff every day so I thought after two weeks, there would be a pile. But all he had was the cafeteria menu and one page of homework, which is the kind of homework that we don't even hand in, it just has suggestions of what to do with him at home.
So I had his parent-teacher conference the next day (got his report card, almost straight A's, the rest were B's, although no one will use ABCDF anymore) and she asked if I got the permission slip for his field trip, his homework, his reading log, etc. I said no, I didn't know about the field trip and figured she kept the homework to grade it. She found it on his table where he left it the day before. He left his water bottle in the car for three days after finally finding it after a week and a half of being lost, and he left his lunchbox in school yesterday so I had to send him with a bag lunch today.
