I love watching my nephew's soccer games. It's just a sea of jerseys clamoring after the ball.

Nice pics of the Soccer Game..... My 8 year old plays and last season they played a team where the coach wanted to run the score up... Yelling at the kids ... please the parents are the ref's....... If i ref'ed the game i would have thrown the MF'er out of the game.... Now my oldest 16(under 19) has been playing since she was 5 and at this level its cut-Throat, Girls drop out of soccer as they get older, so it makes it harder for them to even make less teams.....

The "game" last night was 30-minutes of rotating "drills" like "Red light, green light" and "Duck, duck, goose", followed by a 10-minute scrimmage where we played four simultaneous games of 3-on-3 or 4-on-4. In some cases, all 3 kids from one team would run off the field at the same time for no apparent reason, giving the other team a 3-person breakaway. It was...chaos

Speaking of soccer, I notched my first goal of the season in a 6-4 win last night. Woo hoo! Unfortunately, the other team looked nothing like that one.

And season finale of The Shield was posted online last night. I've downloaded it, but haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

I quit soccer in the 8th grade..... I needed to start the thesis on Joint rolling

Two hours left before my grueling 3 hour work day is over, so I'm going to take a break right now

Normally, I'd be bummed that I can't go home now, but the big boss (department chair) is taking our lab out to lunch this afternoon. That kills a good 2 hours. Then, nobody really gets back to work after that.
