Yes and no. Best of 7 means its less likely that one fluke play or one bad call by the ref decides who the champion is. It also lets the teams get to know each other better, which allows for strategy as the series progresses, and an increased sense of rivalry and intensity.

That was from the Western Finals, and its only gotten louder in the Cup Finals. Last night, they hit 111 decibels singing the anthem alone, and 117 decibels after each goal, and after they won.

That's only because Canadians actually remember their anthem after high school. It's disturbing how many Americans flub ours. Although I had to say the Pledge at a PTO meeting last month, and I must confess I had to pause and think for a minute, after 11 years....

They've been singing along to the American anthem at the games as well (taking the high road ever since San Jose fans booed the Canadian anthem), but I don't know how that many people know the words. If I tried singing the American anthem, I'd end up singing it like Leslie Nielsen from "The Naked Gun"

As for your anthem, I don't know much past "Oh, Canada....something, something land". How many hockey games have I heard it at? Like a million, but it's just not as catchy as a Lazytown or Dora song, I suppose.

So my kids are gearing up for another belt exam, which means I get to move a whole bunch of patches from the white uniform to the black one (rather than buy them all over again, which adds up after a while with all the ones they have), plus add the new ones they got tonight.

Have to head to the store for thread for those though, so might get a short break on that. Who the hell keeps gray thread around the house?

Going to the lake tomorrow. Gets me out of yoga til Thursday. Will probably burn to a crisp, judging by what water aerobics did to me today. JOY!

Yesterday I found 4 live baby mice in my garage. I swept them up and put them in a box and threw them away. Felt kinda bad for the little fellas. I should've mailed the box to you.
I got this thingy called "Mouse Chaser". You plug it into the outlet and it makes a high pitched noise that humans can't hear, but scares the mice away... supposedly.
