It's Chilean independance day today, so I had to polish off a few bottles of Chilean red with the inlaws while feasting on empanadas.

Ugh. I spent the weekend either coughing or sneezing. I'm a freakin' snot factory. I left work early Friday, and spent the next two days on the couch. My husband had the same cold and wasn't this sick. What the hell!

I had a nasty chest cold last weekend.....I am just now starting to feel better

This weekend was pretty cool. Saw the Tigers on Friday and they kicked Balitmore's ass....17-2. I didn't get shot either, just a couple stab wounds
. Met with the guv Saturday morning and then hung out with my buddy and saw his little 8 month old daughter. She is growing so fast. Drank a lot of beer yesterday and grilled out and then started the first season of Deadwood...Finallly realized where Scott got his "Mr. Wu" screen name. Pretty cool show and they make cussing an art form

My allergies have been bothering me the last couple of days because we've been sleeping with the windows open. It is SOOOOOOOOO nice not to have to run the AC sometimes. We're not at the 24-hour open window point yet, but even a few hours a day makes a difference in the bill.

I was wondering where he got that myself.
Unfortunately, I didn't have HBO when the show started, and I hate getting into shows that I haven't caught from the beginning and don't have much chance of catching up. I was able to catch up easily with Friends and Seinfeld, but HBO isn't known for reruns. I found it shocking they re-ran Oz when they did last year. I only kept current on the Sopranos because of the DVDs, most of which I borrowed from my sister-in-law back when she was sane. So I haven't done the Deadwood thing. As for cussing, last night my friend at work was telling me about this bar where she goes with her husband that you get kicked out of for swearing. How do they keep any customers? How can you load people up and except them to behave? How do people last more than a half hour in that place? I can only imagine Mormons holding the place up. And I'm not slamming Mormons because my best friend is one, but they have a lot of rules and a lot of people who are actually able to follow them.

Yesterday was my friends friday, so he made me celebrate it like it was mine too
I'm feeling a bit rough uke: He has been really bummed out because his fiancee called off their wedding last week. So he has been crashing on my couch quite a bit lately.
