Awesome. It was my first time seeing him. Robert Cray opened and also joined him onstage for a few songs including Crossroads. I like that he played a lot of his jammy blues songs. That man, even at 60 something, is an amazing guitarist. I did, however, get a laugh at all the middle aged white guys with no rhythm trying to rock out.

Tell me about it. I crashed hard last night and when I set my alarm, I screwed something up and it never went off. So I had to start the day running. Luckily the people I work with are really cool and I didn't get in trouble for being late .

Just bought two more tickets to see The Melvins. So I will be seeing them in Grand Rapids, Detroit, and Toledo. I am going to be busy next weekend . Then the following weekend I am driving to Dayton, Ohio to see my oldest brother and hang with him for a couple of days. Sheesh. I got a rental for the Dayton trip so I don't have to put the wear and tear on my car. I am thinking I may do the same for the Toledo trip. I am going to be on the road quite a bit the next couple of weeks but all the things I am going to be doing are fun so it will be worth it. Being single has it's advantages

For some reason, when I catch the pic in Thraude's sig out of the corner of my eye, I see Darth Vader. It's like some sort of optical illusion.

This is going to be a hard drinking weekend...

Why? What do you have planned ? I will probably have a couple of beers and jam with my buddy tonight and then watch the rest of The Wire-Season 3. Nothing to crazy. I am going to be really busy the next couple of weeks, so I just want to relax and not do much....Winter is coming, so I am going to try and do as much as possible before the weather gets really nasty and I am stuck indoors. I don't really like to go to concerts in the winter time because the weather is so unpredictable here and the roads can get bad real quick...So I am going to get my Melvins fix and see them 3 times in 3 days. That should hold me over for awhile. So far 3 friends are going with me to the Detroit show on Friday then I have 12 friends that are going with me on Saturday and I am going solo to the Toledo show. Can't wait.

Tonight, the Eskimo football game. Always good for a dozen beers or so, not too mention it's going to be cold so I may need extra alcohol to keep warm.

Tomorrow, another party where we've rented a margarita machine. We'll start drinking margaritas and bellinis around 2 pm, and see if we can polish off 72 litres of alcoholic slush by 3 or 4 on Sunday morning.

Finally, Sunday a birthday celebration dinner with family at a good Japanese restaurant, likely with a few bottles of wine and some cocktails.

Today I'm gonna shoot up some halothane or procaine and pass out. I'll wait for the Dr to wake me and then when I get home I may have some Vicodin to go with the Novicain that will be dripping onto my repaired hernia trough a catheter.
Then maybe some beer later.
