I mean, you just gotta love the premise. There's some annoying points, like the save system, and no multiplayer mode. But it's good dumb fun: killing lots of zombies with whatever item you can pick up (and in a mall, you can throw cash registers at them, swing benches or manequins at them, or hit the sporting goods shop and find any other number of fun items), all so you can see as much blood and guts as possible. Pretty mindless, but what do you expect from zombies? I just need to level up high enough so I can learn the "disembowel" move.
