OT: Who gets the last word?

If I didn't have 4wheel drive, I'd still be trying to get to work right now.
(Yes, I work Sundays. $30 extra a week = $1,500 a year).

I only get an extra $1 an hour for working on Sundays. At my last job it was only $.50. $8 isn't worth it. And since I get paid every two weeks, it's only an extra $16 per check. I'd rather stay home. They tried to call me in today, but it was an hour before Tonya's party was supposed to start. So I said no. There were the same amount of people working today that there always is on Sunday, so I don't know what the problem was this week. I'm sure I'll find out all about it on Tuesday when I go back.

so they behaved? are you shocked?

Sleeping doesn't equal behaving. That's cheating. They behaved today until after their baths, then all hell broke loose while they were cleaning up the gifts (apparently Joe is not allowed to touch the "girl stuff" Tonya got today, because he is a boy and it is GIRL STUFF). But having a jump house all day helped them to pass out about a minute after being tucked in, so I could work on a flyer for the PTO, and now I get to fold laundry and iron school clothes.

I tell ya, I know how to live.

I think I may own an iron, and I may have used it once.
That's the beauty of working in an academic lab, you don't have to dress up. And my husband buys all wrinkle-free clothing. We dry them on the "wrinkle-free" setting on the dryer, and as long as we get his clothes out as soon as the cycle stops, no ironing!

I don't ever iron anything. I just do what Rem's hubby does and buy all "wrinkle free" clothing too. And you do have to take them immediately out of the dryer if you want them to remain wrinkle free. Although I have bought "wrinkle free" shirts and they would look worse than some of the ones that aren't and were not ironed at all.

My uncle is doing okay at the moment. I was in the hospital visiting him Friday night and was talking to him when all of a sudden he went into a seizure. Scared the shit out of me because I have never seen anyone have a seizure in real life. Ain't life grand:Smug:

Well, there's my issue right there. Laundry is my house is lucky if it gets pulled out of the dryer on the same day that it's washed and dried. I get most of it done throwing loads in before I go to bed or before I head for work. I'm rarely around when it actually turns off, and if I am, I either don't hear the buzzer or I'm too busy with something else to go take care of it.

What works for us is doing a load of just wrinkle-free stuff and setting a timer. Otherwise, I suck at getting clothes out of the dryer and folded in a timely matter. Especially if there are sock involved. I hate matching socks. It seems none of my husband's ever match.

yeah, still slacking if we're talking about laundry and not hot chicks.

Did you just say, "Kate Beckinsale is really hot?" I think you did.
