OT: Who gets the last word?

Talk about stupid...My brother-in-law is playing his last show with his band on the 15th (http://www.myspace.com/bclrock). The reason why he's leaving is that his friends hate their jobs and want to be rockstars while he loves his job and just wants to play drums for fun. Anyhoo, I guess the band signed with a "manager". This guy is in law school and is going to take 25% from them. That's red flag #1. He also convinced them that they need to tour the midwest on the weekends (one reason my brother-in-law quit). So far, the only people that come to their shows in Chicago are family and friends. Is this "manager" booking these shows? No, they have to call places and book them. That's red flag #2. They still don't have someone to replace Dave on drums after the 15th, but yet they manager has them booking shows in January.

Again, talk about stupid. But, I'm glad that my brother-in-law is leaving.

Sounds like he is least is smart enough to just walk away from a bad situation. The rest of the band sounds like a bunch f-ing morons. An unsigned band does NOT need a manager.

WTF pulling bulbs out of strands, do that want that shit to short out. Fucking idiots.

Be careful Brat.

Exactly. The strands weren't working anymore because so many bulbs had been pulled out of them. My house can probably be seen from space. So we used up all the extra bulbs that come in the boxes anyway, and then still had to buy about $50 more at Walgreens, but everything is back the way that it was. I'm also looking into getting a wireless web cam that will pick up my driveway. My husband is intent on buying a gun, but I'm more content with the prybar on a shelf in the garage.

Well, they've left the house alone since Thursday morning. Since there are like 8 of them, the one that actually lives there will from here on out be referred to as "Fuckface". "Fuckface" wrote my husband a letter (two pages, front AND back), in which he expresses his dismay at the fact that his girlfriend was told that he will be shot upon setting foot on our property again, and also implicates his brother and his brother's friend. So we called the deputy back.

We've learned that the problem with living in a rural area is that the police department sucks ass. We had to drop names before we could even get a badge number or a reference number for the report. So on Monday, once we track down the badge number of the guy who made the reference number, we're handing over the letter. Not only does he say who does it, but that he knew who did it and that he didn't do anything about it.

The letter itself was hysterical. He calls my husband an asshole but at the end apologizes for coming up into our driveway and yelling at my husband and calling names. He says he's an educated man because he finished high school, and yet the whole thing is filled not only with misspellings and bad grammar, but he also had his girlfriend proofread it and you can see where she corrected the few things she did find, but she must not be any better because she still missed quite a lot. He says that he works and also has his own business, apparently no one ever told him that dealing drugs and pimping out your girlfried doesn't exactly get you into the BBB.

Oh, he also completely implicated himself in tearing up my neighbor's yard, because he brought up that it had been done when my husband hadn't said a word about the neighbors. And that neighbor was putting his lights back out tonight and he called to give us a heads up because he said they were out front watching him the whole time he was out there doing it, so he thinks they'll try some of their bullshit tonight. Which is fine, because I've been really, really itching to use that prybar since this whole thing started.
