Good day yesterday... took two of the kids to the Jelly Belly factory store in Wisconsin (third was at a birthday party), and totally stocked up on the beans. Bought a bag of my fave flavors for myself - grape jelly, tutti-fruiti, chocolate pudding, sour lemon - and hit a great sale on the "belly flops" that I can put out on my desk at work. (Poor sucker who grabs the jalapeno bean.)

Is it the one in Pleasant Prairie? I've wanting to go there. Though, I only eat jelly beans at Easter time. It's just wrong to eat them any other time.

Yup, that's the one - just head straight up Green Bay Road into Wisconsin, it's about five miles up the road on the west side. (Not easy to miss, what with the big sign out front and the turn-in to Jelly Belly Parkway.)

The tour kinda sucks - they put you on a mini-train and ride you through their warehouse, but it still is cool to see the artwork made of the beans. They also have a "tasting bar" where you can sample as many of the flavors as you want.

Seeing that I possibly fucked up my diet by eating well over a pound of those things this weekend, I think I'm done with Jelly Bellys until next Easter. (They were delicious, though... I've found a new favorite in the sour lemon.)

Clutch kicked ass on Friday! Nothing really to report on them other than it was a typical jammed out Clutch show and they played A Shogun Named Marcus. That is one of Karro's favorite Clutch songs and they always omit from it their set when he sees them, yet it has been played quite a few times when I have seen them. Dub Trio was also great. They were very reminiscent of Mr. Bungle and Fantomas.

Gojira was awesome, but I only was able to catch 4 songs because of the damn line. Machine Head kicked a lot of ass and stole the show imo. Lamb of God was good, but you could barely even see them because of the lights they brought. There was so much strobe and lights going off that the band literally would have to walk directly in front of one the lights to even be seen. A lot of the time they were just hanging back and jamming, so I wasn't able to see them all that great. Trivium sucks balls:Puke: WORST BAND EVER!!! I'll have to say that they are a great band to go to the bar and grab a beer, though. I also found it pretty disrespectful that they had Machine Head open up for them. I drank a ton of beer at the bar before the show and felt terrible when I met up with my parents the next day for breakfast. Damn Belgium ales:kickass: :ill: Had an awesome time hanging out with my brothers. All in all, it was a great weekend:rock:

Trivium was the co-headliner and Lamb of God finished the show. It just sucked because i had to listen to Trivium just as long as I did Lamb of God. They shouldn't have played more than 30 minutes. And yes, the new Machine Head album is getting better with each listen. You should really check out Gojira if you haven't had a chance yet, NFF. They are really good.

already had my limit on easter candy. came across those mini-eggs 2 weeks ago. so am done...eye candy for easter is nice though.

I've got four of the Cadbury Creme Eggs in my fridge... they're so much better cold.

Cracked open the "belly flops" at work and have done a little experimenting... if the Easter Bunny played Russian Roulette, this is how he'd do it. Toasted marshmallow and bubble gum aren't bad, but the lemon are the candy equivalent of crack.
