I think I could be a decent poker player. I think I am a good gambler anyways. If I go to a casino, here's my philosophy. I start with $40, that's it. I play as though I have lost the $40 already on the progressive slots. I'm flexible on where I walk away. If I hit a decent big win, up to $200 say, then if I drop below $150 I'm done. If I lose the $40 right away, I do NOT go back for more money. So to me, if I'm at a casino, I consider $40 to be gone and that's it. I'll only stop if I get over $150 or $200, or if I lose the $40. When I'm playing those progressive slots, I'll bet the max everytime, no matter what. That way if I do hit something, I'll get a bigger payday. It's worked for me so far, and out of the 4 times in the casino, I'm batting .500 on the over $100 profit.

What I don't get is "sports" channels showing poker. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I mind watching poker every now and then, but it's not a sport.

Neither is a spelling bee, but they put that on ESPN.

Why does it piss me off when a person doesn't reply to a message on myspace for a week? The person who hasn't emailed me since "Dimebag was killed two days ago"? WHY? WHY DOES THIS PISS ME OFF?? Why do I find this so upsetting? Is it the blatant rudeness? The disregard for my time and effort in tracking his silly ass down? Which part of this scenario pisses me off even more? I don't even know anymore!

Seriously. I don't have any idea why after 12 fucking years this should have any effect on me whatsoever, and yet it does. Discuss.

I have the opposite problem with myspace. I have a friend who only communicates via myspace. If I send her a regular email, she won't respond. But, if I send her a myspace message, she'll message me back. It's kind of annoying. I only check myspace when I get an email saying someone left me a comment or a message. So, I have to check my email, then log onto myspace to get the freakin' message.
