Hi there,

I´ve got a problem with a mix.
We´ve got 2 guitartracks recorded at 160 BPM with 44.100 Hz 16/bit .
Drums are midi, midi files comming out of Guitar pro 5 and run through SP2.0
My settings in Cubase are : 48000Hz / 32 Bit.
I Converted everything to 48000Hz.
Now the first few measures are synched.
But later on the tracks start to go out of synch.

What is up ? Is this because of the Hz and Bit difference ?
How, where and should I change this?

Cheers

my guess is, that the guitar takes haven't been converted, and are still at 44.1kHz, but are being played back at 48 (notice a slight upward pitch shift?).

out of interest, why did you convert? you don't gain any quality, and plugins take up more CPU time?

plus the conversion back to 44.1kHz takes a lot of tricky maths, which some people reckon they can hear.

go back to 44.1khz, go to 24bit if you want to (all mine are 44.1/16). to do this, goto project->project settings, and change your shit there.

if that does stop the sync issues, go to the audio pool, and change the sample rate of the files labled 48kHz back to 44.1 (you can do multiple files at a time by control-click).

thanks,
