When you grow up on fucking Carlsberg and Stella and all the other cheap crap they sell over here its nice to actually buy some nice tasting beers, even if they are a fuckload more expensive.

Lord no, Stella is fucking full of dirt chemicals man. It tastes like ass and produced the wickedest hangovers.

I mean you drink like 10 cans of Heine and you drink 10 cans of Stella.

You get just as drunk off both but Heine doesnt fuck you up the next day.
Stella makes you feel like a gorilla just shit in your mouth and punched your mother in the ankles.

I do like a bit o' stella somtimes when I want to feel poor and beat my wife.

Heineken is 5.0%abv Stella is 5.2%. Hardly piss.
If you closed your eyes and did a lager taste test I guarantee you stella would be close to bottom, its such a bad taste compared to others.

If you think that is piss clearly you have never tried most of the beers we get over here. The best is ASDA (UK equivalent of Walmarts) own beer. Its 3% hahaha

Anyway, this is the own pictures thread. I got back from Barcelona today, they have buses in Barcelona.

Yep they actually do, and a shitload of them. It drives me nuts when I go over there. My town only has 12 bus lines How was Barcelona, and how did you end up down there? It must be melting at this time of the year. I always run off here to Ireland to avoid July in Spain, way too fucking hot. Can't do anything with August tho, no students to take around

Yes I like football, but I'm not Barca-fan so it's not a nice scarf Just bought it when they played against AGF, but it was not the 'real' Barca.

I was just over there for a few days visiting my brother, he's been living there this year. Barcelona was cool, the architecture is really nice, especially the Gaudi buildings. But other than that it's a standard European city. I also couldn't help but feel it was becoming a little too pretentious and fashion conscious, almost as if its trying to be Paris.

Hehe, i bought that beer in a shop where they had this HUGE fridge fully loaded with ice-cold 0,5 liter cans of jupiler. Picture was also taken during Graspop.

I agree with Leandro, Stella is much better than Heineken. Tuborg I used to like when I was a teen, but bought it for some nostalgia and hated it, my tastebuds have progressed quite the bit since then. That all aside however, Heineken is really nothign much different than most cheap local beers, only expensive and really much too bitter. Its not a bad beer, probably cheaper where its local, but here its just nooooot worth it, and you usually see it in the hands of a kid who just cashed the first pay he's ever received.

No implications meant, just local observation. I need to start re-discovering good beers again.

I wasn't saying Tuborg was one of the best, its my favourite relaxing beer e.g its not strong. Its nice for just monging around the house with.

Heineken clearly pwns Stella.

And clearly we have had very different progressions, Stella was my starting beer. When I was 13 - 16 I used to get a crate of 24 stellas every weekend. Good times but still you see, one of the glorys of getting paid is that you don't have to settle for cheap ass tasting beer and can splash out a bit on nice tasting beer.

Stella imo is similar tasting to Carlesberg Export, which tastes like a tramps cock (HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT TRAMP COCK TASTES LIKE OLOLOLOLO)

clearly not every person has the same taste.

I think you'll find that most of the world agrees with me since its the worlds most popular beer.
Stella is most popular with scrat end chavs hanging around on street corners punching stray cats.

Popular doesn't mean good. Its actually all in the advertising. Its the same with Jack Danials. No one who knows whiskey or bourbon drinks JD, in the right mind at least. Heineken is world's most popular, because everyone knows what it is, and they know its slightly "upper class". So they go for it when they have that extra money to buy good beer, so they go for the one they were told was good...not even realizing Heineken was the one who told them Heineken was good. Yeah yeah its all opinion, but to deny the fact that Heineken is the worlds most popular beer because of advertising, is quite silly. Mall brands usually fail, be it beer or anything.

If you have some extra money around why not drink something Belgian?
