Sure India is in the continent of Asia and they may technically be Asian but nobody here refers to Indians as Asians. That's just the way it is here in Aus. when we say Asian we instinctively are talking about yellow people.

We do however consider Germans, etc. to be Europeans, the aboriginals even call the British and all white people Europeans as they consider themselves the only true Australians even though they themselves apparently emigrated here from somewhere else, long ago.
