I used to prefer Mac (back in 1995-1998), but I'm more of a PC fan these days. Mac OS has some very irritating aspects. I still bought an iBook G4 back in September, because it's small, not heavy, and easy to bring with me to University. I use it only for school purposes, though, as PCs are superior when it comes to other stuff.

mac os x -- good idea, works well, unfortunately the user interface is pretty much unusable

i don't know how anyone could prefer windows though, you probably just have never used a mac or you like playing games

I use both, both suck alot of times, I still think I like macs a little better. And you cant really say that you use PC's simply because you work in the buisness world, this really means nothing nowdays. PC's and Macs have become a lot more integratable in the past years. Mac's have always felt less "cluttered" to me when using them, if that makes any sense.

any documents you have, anything you need to do in your big business, can with 99% certainty be opened/done on a mac far more effectively than on a windows pc

pc's only suck because of windows, there's nothing in the hardware that sucks (ok there is a fair bit in the hardware that sucks, but people are removing some old legacy shit or working around it quite effectively these days)

and since apple switched to intel x86 processors a while back, macs ARE ibm pc compatibles. the new macs can run windows xp :shrug:
