Ok. I can have one of these preamps for 125 euros. looks in great shape.

only downfall its 120V instead of 230V (europe), guess I need an external transformer.

What do you guys think? should I bite the bullet?

clips would be nice too...

take care guys

These seemed to have had a price spike recently with all the fuzz going on. From 120 and unsold to 300 on ebay.de. Weird!

I think I'm gonna get it... full tube preamp running at decent voltage and the raving reviews. what could go wrong?

Still.. some clips would be nice. I have only from Daunt.

All Shall Perish's Price of Existence was recorded on a Rockmaster. Give that a listen.

Although it is a tube preamp to me they sound like a Solid State preamp. Or like plugging a metalzone into a tube power amp (if you're using a tube poweramp).

The other guitar player in a band I was recently in used one and I thought it sounded like ass. But on the ASP, they make it sound good.

His were very nice :)

Hey, I'm a nice guy

The distortion on Metal Zone is like this:

For 125€ I wouldn't wait a second.

I'm still looking for an affordable second hand one. It's said to be a nice preamp, and apparently some guys like Daunt or others around here get a "real" 5150 tone of out it with some minor tweaking.

Getting a power converter shouldn't be a big issue.

Go for it :kickass:
