Peavey Windsors are.....

I got mine a few days ago... like it so far, but I can't really get a metal tone out of it yet... butttttttt, just got a call from my parents that a parcell has arrived! And I know what's in it: a TS9!! Oh, this will become wonderfull Sunday :D

I got my Windsor a week ago.
Without my TS9 it's a hardrock sound, very JCM800 sounding.

With the TS9 you can sculp the sound like you can with a JCM800. It can be ubertightala Exodus/Anthrax.
The eq is very usable, enough low-end, and you dip the mids enough.

Will try to make an mp3 next week.

An SL-X will still get you that old school Kreator tone without a TS though right?

Haven't heard old Kreator, but it's really messy in the lower frequencies without a TS. Here's a clip I did with an (Behringer, hence the noise) EQ pedal as boost, which gives you an idea what it sounds like without a TS:

http://koti.mbnet.fi/juhau/jcm900slx-saro.mp3 (nevermind the clipping )

Oh yeah, and the cab is Mesa Recto 4x12" and SM57. Guitar is Schecter 007 Blackjack (SeyDun JB passive pup).

Windsor+TS9

Just a simple mp3.

Chain: LTD EC1000(JB)>TS9>Windsor>Marshall 4x12>StudioProjects B1>Motu 896>Sonar8.
Did a lowpas because of the condencermike. Besides that no eq or compression. Dry as hell.

On very low volume, will be getting me a Loadbox/Powerbrake soon.
Will make a dualtracked mp3 tommorow with a SM57.
