Got a week off, so decided to take a road trip up the coast to see The Maidens play in San Francisco on Saturday night. While on the way, I hit up the Historic Races at Laguna Seca on Saturday during the day:

After seeing The Maidens in S.F. on Saturday night, I took off for Black Chasm cavern in Volcano, California on Sunday morning. They have some amazing formations in there.

Down the narrow wooden stairways from platform to platform:

'The Dragon'..the official mascot of the cave. They had a dragon logo on some t-shirts and stuff.

I finally had a chance to check out some hummingbirds this year.. (my feeders have been very poorly managed this year. Who can I talk to about that? Oh, yeah.. My own dumb ass..) However, some other nature lubbers have done a better job:
