I was never a big fan of "One"...Metallica had a lot better songs out there.

Obviously I'm going with Anthrax here, but while "Among" is a cool song, it's certainly not their defining song, nor is it one of their best from that era. But I'll pick it anyway, because it's my favorite of the bunch listed here!

I like Metallica very much....more than Megadeth. Of course I like Megadeth too......but considering those songs, I pick Holy Wars....it's the best between those.....

Hmmm, bit of a vague era....

I say One because it's really deep & meaningful and then becomes heavy as fuck and a great headbanger. Nice. Seasons just don't have the depth in lyrics (course it's heavy as fuck too) and Among I just think is 1% not good enough....

Interesting mix I would say. I find none of these songs really define the era, the bands did certainly, but these songs ??? ... anyway the album "Among the living" did, so I´ll chose that.

Man it was a close call between Holy Wars and Seasons for me. The other ones are ok, but not near as good as Holy Wars and Seasons.

That was close for me too, between Holy Wars and Seasons.... I chose Seasons.

As far as Metallica One, that's the album they stopped doing thrash, and started doing Commerical Pop metal.... what is commonly refered to now as NU-METAL.

Justice was still a thrash album, although I didn't like One very much, except for the fact that I finally got to see a Metallica video...who knew it would be their downfall. Even the black album had a fair share of thrashy songs, although it was definately more geared towards radio play than previous albums were. Unfortunately that taste of success poisoned them for good after that...
