Pissed

i'm going back to smokin' again, i just need to figure out when the random drug tests start during the year so i can plan this out.

Kevin, have you practiced the 3 and 5 star technique?

Nah, I'm still pretty green and learning just the basics right now. I've only been training for like 2 months so far. But I've gotten some pretty slick taps in rolling already though. A couple kimuras and my most epic yet, a triangle that I had setup and locked in like 3 seconds :D

John, Steve, how big are you guys? I bet you're both bigger than me, but fuck it... we should roll sometime :D

I'm 6'4 180 lbs at the moment but that will increase soon. I just haven't had a lot of money to eat and I need more protein shakes, plus I just started lifting again this week.

However, my only training has come from another student, I'm just a brawler at heart.

Nice! I myself have trained for just under a year, was all mainly defensive though. I recommend the 3 and 5 star technique because it is vital for all main defensive forms. Since i can't really show you, i'll have to find it on the internet for you.

im just 5'9 and i weigh 138lbs. I have a fast motabolism so i never gain a pound. But it works well when i need to get the THC out of my system :D

Did you train jiu-jitsu or aikido? The reason I ask is because Aikido is an entirely defensive martial art, designed to defend yourself and keep your opponent from attacking.. There's really no offensive aspect of Aikido (that I am aware of ) and that's the main difference with jiu-jitsu. Jiu-jitsu has specific offensive strategies, whereas Aikido has none. You probably already know this haha.

I've never even heard of the 3 and 5 star tecniques, but I'm going to google it right now :kickass:

Never ever tell that to an experienced jiu-jitsu player haha. They'll be licking their chops to get a crack at you

I'm well aware of it, sir. As I said, my Jiu Jitsu training has come from a student, not an expert, so I'm a noob myself.

However, don't underestimate fighting and sparring experience, to which I have double of you and Steve. :)

Hey cool.. im involved with muay thai.. we should all train

That's the other thing I want to learn and have learned briefly, also from a student.

Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai are extremely useful martial arts, and MMA standards. Completly unlike Shotokan Karate. Their black belts are push overs.

Edit-I originally put black metals lol.

Jiu-Jitsu, but what it was is just training to defend then attack. I never really trained on just specifically attacking, i never got that far. I also trained with a staff. My master would hit me hard if i screwed up so i learned from my mistakes, which i think is the best way to learn. He also taught me how to disarm someone with a knife, which is actually very easy to do if you do it correctly. To bad we don't live closer, you can teach me more offensive things cause i lack that.

Oh that's just an early life lesson my father taught me. Shake a mans hand hard, don't give limp, weak handshakes like you're fucking half Mexican cousin.

I think it'd be cool to know Muay Thai or Kickboxing, but I'm really not interested in hitting anybody and I'm DEFINITELY not interested in getting hit myself lol. I like jiu-jitsu so much because there's no striking, but it's still a completely effective and practical tool for defending yourself in a real life combat scenario against larger opposition. Plus it's fun and challenging, and gets my brain and body into shape :D

The reason I prefer Jiu-Jitsu to Muy Thai is because I worry about getting my teeth knocked out. I have thick teeth so it hasn't happened yet.

Yeah i was thinking of that too.. when you grapple someone (whos level headed anyway) theres nothing to worry about cause you just tap and it's all fine.. when you kickbox its not that easy. haha.
