Metallica's "Orion" is a good song for beginners, I think. It's got palm muting, some chord progressions that are easy but just tricky enough to pose a challenge for a beginner, and some midtempo technical stuff that's pretty tricky..

I'm not talking about the leads, btw. just the riffs



in fact, that's the first song I "learned," and the song that made me wanna pick up guitar.

I dunno when i used to play i couldnt find the right tune for DT's music i think actually standard tunning i found it works the best........

No they are not.

Martin told me that currently they tune down to C#, that is 3 semitones.

In Flames tune to C (like myself), and At the Gates tune to B, that is 4 respectively 5 semitones.
