I have the zoom g9.2tt and using the distorsion ( peavey 5150 or diezel herbert simulation are the best) with some cab impulses it sounds really good, very close to a real amp.
Now I'm recording with the preamp output of my 5150 conected to the PC and adding impulses and this it sounds amazing.

No no, just the timbre sounded like V-amp. A bit muffled, perhaps.
