I keep running into something that bothers me till no end..

Basically i have a great sounding drum track through EZ drummer or superior 2, and in that plugin i need to turn down the volume of the masterknob to - 6.0 to stay in the same volume level as my guitars are recorded in.. it kills the dynamics of the drumtrack (having to reset all the compression settings and drum replacement plugins.. sucks!).

So basically my guitars can only be recorded at a very mediocre volume level compared to the plugins like drums and synths.. seems abnormally low to me, and i always have crack them up till they start to crackle and pop.

I have tried jacks, XLR and SPDIF.. but it really does not make much difference.. might i be missing something?

I have the hd500 and I definitely do not have this problem. Do you have the master on full? What about the preset volume as well? What mode do you have it in? I never have this problem. I can get the volume as loud as I want easily. I don't believe the pro is differnt than the 500 in that regard. Wish I could do more to help other than say I know it can go plenty loud.

p.s. How are you liking the pod hd versus the xt/x3/podfarm sounds?

Cheers lads,

Im afraid something is wrong with my unit.. as it cannot be cranked like it should be cranked ;) So i have to return it.
I tried the volume boost but that just made it clip even more...

Eric, the HD is fine as it is.. i did find it hard to dial in bass and mids as they seem a bit unresponsive with certain amps and patches, but all the FX are truly HD quality.
