as bitter as that sounds, this is funny as hell, you gotta admit hahha
portishead? you guys have a lot of catching up to do. =)
i also would like to suggest beth gibbons' solo with rustin man "out of season"
you might like it if you already like "dummy"

yes, out of season was a great album. seemingly unlikely duo to collaborate too, even though im not a huge talk talk fan, i definitely enjoy what came out of those 2. i might just have to revisit that album soon, hmmm

I dont really want to catch up in that genre. I have a very loose appreciation for it. I've known about portishead for years, but when i heard them i wasnt really into their style very much. My listening habits have changed since then, so i figured i'd give them another shot.

Portishead are amazing. 'Dummy' is... just a stone cold classic. An all timer. The self titled is good too.

I want a new album SO badly, but I'm REALLY hoping the "new stuff" on their official MySpace is a joke :erk:

Yeah, I don't see anyone in this thread asking for general reccomendations in the genre, I don't see where that came from. I heard them years ago from a skate video, never really got the urge to look into any more bands like that though.
