Post pics of your patch vest/jacket

So, why is it that people usually go for blue denim patch jackets instead of black denim? I can't think of anything other than that maybe the black jackets are hard to find. Blue denim just seems kinda lame.

Indeed, MDF was quite the inspiration. That and that Black Metal table selling patches.

So for my own jacket I've got these so far:

Burzum
Samael
Dimmu Borgir
Satyricon
Krieg
Nachtmystium
Inquisition
Archgoat
Baptism
Emperor
Limbonic Art
Summoning
Aborym

Over the next week or two I'll be adding to that, with my sights on Venom, DSO, Celtic Frost, Bathory, Mercyful Fate, Watain, Behexen and perhaps others.

I know it will all be Black Metal but I'm covering all three waves and I'd rather be consistent than have all BM with a Reverend Bizarre or Judas Priest patch looking out of place.

youve all seen my first one. ive got about 50 patches sitting around, and a spare leather vest. i'm thinking i can do that entire vest without a back patch, even though i have two small ones (blind guardian and turisas). i dunno though.

edit: meh, why not...

The fact that you seriously have a patch that says "THE HAUNTED MADE ME DO IT" on your vest surprises me even though I already knew that you liked a lot of really bad bands.

:p
honestly i've always hated patch vests/jackets

yeah, oh well. honestly there are a couple patches i wanna take off. that being one of em. but it probably wont happen any time soon. just like i wont finish this other vest any time soon

Honestly, what is the appeal of the patch vest other than looking like a douche kvltfag? 'Cause as a fashion statement, they always seem to turn out really ugly with very little consistency IMO.

Got any you wouldn't mind parting with?

not really. plus alot of them are kinda cheap. i had them made by some guy in italy. theyre really just weird transfer stuff put onto fabric. i mean, the image quality is good, but it does look unofficial. it kinda bothers me... anyways, you can see what i mean here:

the others are legit embroidered or silk screen patches that are pretty grim and kvlt. well orphaned land aint kvlt, but yeah.

Thank god someone here made an even more awkward comment than mine.

patches are cheaper. and i can support more of them at once. assuming they made patches, which most dont.

my vest was an attempt to stop buying shirts. well, we all know how that turned out...

I still think patching up a plain black Zip up hoodie wouldnt look awful... One large back patch, and four or so on the front.

It'd be more comfortable and easier to wear in general... and you wouldnt have to wear the ugly of a blue jean vest/jacket.

My leather jacket is staying plain, so I can use it for all occasions. For patches I'm using an old denim jacket. I haven't decided yet on whether to cut off the sleeves.
