this is roughly what I've been listening to mostly......a lot of times I dont listen to whole cds, since I have an Ipod, and I can switch with a flick of the thumb :D I recommend and Ipod (or something similar) to EVERYBODY. I mean, sure, it has that little added time between tracks, but I can get over it.....if you can get over it, it is the PERFECT companion to any music listener
Oh yeah! A man after my own heart!

Fates Warning - Awaken the Guardian (2005 Remaster)

Ayreon - The Dream Sequencer & Flight Of The Migrator

Sorry guys, but Star One has nothing on these babies.

Disagree. Ayreon Migrator albums are surely the best sci-fi work (being "The Human Equation" his most cohesive work to the date), but Star One can't be put aside since came from the same mastermind.

One it's basically original thoughts following the Ayreon (the misntrel) saga, the other one are songs based on film scripts. You found Damien Wilson singing in both, you found Ed Warby playing drums in both. Adn if you hear Star One live versions of Ayreon previous work is as good as the originals with Russel Allen, Robert Soeterbook and the Jansen sisters.

So I will never put Star One on the side of Ayreon Migrators, I'll put it by the side.

Well, I will. I really wanted to like Star One, but IMO it's just too sterile and dull to make me feel I'm on a fantastic journey through time and space. The way the Migrator brothers did. I'm yet to see the live dvd though, maybe the stuff will work better there.

I'm not really a prog person anyway so I don't think anyone take heed of my opinions.

Hmm very curious. To me Ayreon is even more prog than Star One, I'm amazed that someone not into prog will even approach Arjen's projects.

Just curious, do you like more "The Dream Sequencer" or "Flight Of The Migrator"? And from each album which is your prefered song?
