Post your music here if you want people to comment on it

Hey folks.

It's been a long time since i visited this forum. I've been busy (yeah, it's hard not being a professional musician :)

Lately i've found some time to make music again, and i guess this is the result.

I guess you can call this a thrash metal song.

I'll just repeat what i've said earlier:

If you like the song, please respond
If you hate the song, please respond
If you have any suggestion to how to improve the mix, please respond

And finally, if you think you can contribute to ANYTHING in this song, please respond.

If you think you have a good metal/rock voice and like to write lyrics please contact me, i would
love to collaborate on this song.

It seems to be very hard to find anyone at all. Don't be shy people!

Anyway, the song is called Scavenger and can be found here:

Cheers!

Those riffs sound pretty damn good. I hope you find some people to work with, because your stuff has real potential. I remember the "Just a Blind" one from before also seemed like that.

Hey guys, i'm not sure if this would be a valid post.
But this is a cover of my playing Polaris by human abstract.

I had a crapload of free time this summer (especially the last two weeks) and so I did a lot of recording. There are plenty of errors and little mess ups here and there. This is probably a little less than half of everything I did this summer. If I tagged you it was because I've gotten the impression that you would be remotely interested in something on this page or have been vocal about my stuff before. I know i'm probably missing a lot of people! I've also taken away most of the vocals because I'm horrible at mixing them. If you want to skip through most of this quickly, i think you can hit the next track button in the little pop-up player but it will NOT BE in the order listed here.

Hope you enjoyed! It's been 2 years since my last note so i figured this would be worthwhile. It's kind of weird how many bands on here that I don't listen to much at all like Aura Noir and all the Swedish DM bands...and southern rock. Oh and I also lost a lot of weight and became a little sick from doing this because it got annoying to get up and get food while i was recording something and i just wanted to get it done.

Don't have time to listen to all of them, but the ones that I did were awesome. Great stuff, maybe add some vocals and you got yourself a couple of albums worth of music.

Hey thanks for the feedback man, always nice hear that someone's listened to you and enjoyed it. I personally am not that big on breakdowns but my friend who did all the music is, but I guess I enjoy them a lot here just cause I was a part of it. I kinda wish I would have went for a lower more brutal death type vocals on the heavier parts but whatever, I'm happy with how my vocals turned out anyway.

that's cool, you gonna write and record some more?

i think metal's at its best when intention and vibrancy breathes out of the speakers with the music. i've heard a million po-faced death/thrash bands that are no fun for anyone. i want to be entertained. that can be from technical exploration (death), atmospheric heaviness (emperor), blood-dripping grooves (bloodbath), but music should always entertain. this entertained me!

Hey dudes!

Here I like to present you our band, that is called Harasai! :headbang:
This summer we've recorded our first professional album, which was mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö within the last months!
The album title is "The I-Conception" and we're searching for a good label to release it in early 2010.
Would be interesting for us to get some feedback here! :)

MySpace site: http://www.myspace.com/harasai
... the graphics are currently damaged. But we'll upload a complete new site next week with the long awaited first album teaser! The sound is KILLER! :)

Dan comments:
"Really catchy, Melodic Death Thrash played with the youthful energy this genre needs. A meltingpot of all that is metal. A must in every headbangers collection!"

Some songs:
Into Oblivion (Demo Version, 2008):

Except Me (Demo, 2008):

Spearhead Of Storms (live, January 2009):

Biography ...
Harasai is a five-piece metal act which embodies the creative symbiosis of melancholy, aggression and beautiful melodies since the rainy days of April `06. The first demo CDs (“My Lake of Terror”, 2006, and “Begotten”, 2007) helped the young band to achieve attention from fans and the media. Within a short time, the group evolved into one of the most appreciated newcomer acts of the German underground scene. Shows were played nearly every weekend, a newcomer contest had been won, and screaming crowds were left longing for more. In 2008, Harasai went to the studio again to record their first professional demo “Into Oblivion”, which has been downloaded over 2000 times via various internet portals. “Into Oblivion” helped the band to get a support slot for the Unholy Alliance Tour in the same year, where Harasai opened for Slayer, Trivium and Amon Amarth in Cologne. Following that, the band kept on playing live shows all over Germany and started to write, plan and organize their debut album which finally came to life in the summer of 2009. The band entered the CKB-Studios (Kreator, Japanische Kampfhörspiele) in the legendary Zeche Carl in Essen-Altenessen to record “The I-Conception“. The mix and mastering was done by no one less than Dan Swanö (Edge of Sanity, Bloodbath, Dissection, Opeth) in his Unisound-Studios in Örebro, Sweden. “The I-Conception” offers everything a metalhead loves: 45 minutes of fast-thrashing riffs, beautiful and thoughtful melodies, aggressive and variable vocals and a masterly performed production. Despite the numerous and clear influences of the musicians, Harasai have a very own sound which is recognizable even under 1000 other bands.
Anno 2009 Harasai consist of Martin Wittsieker (20) – Voice, Nico Becker (20) - Drums, Yannick Becker (16) - Guitars, Henrik Tschierschky (22) - Guitars and David Joris (19) - Bass, and they are ready to take on the world!

Listening right now.... pretty cool. Definitely thrash, haha. But its cool. Thrash isn't my like, FAAAAAAVORITE thing but I dig it; my band is huuuugely inspired by thrash, even though we are death metal (www.myspace.com/angeldeath518)

I like a lot of the riffs; what kind of singer are you thinking for this? Like a clean yell/Araya/Mustaine kinda thing, or more death metal screamings like Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates)? I think it would be cool with a throaty mid-range death metal singer.

The only riff i don't like is the 2nd one that comes in, where it just staccato 1/4 notes, right before the gallop part. I donno...it just sounded weird.

Actually..... all you need to do, imo, is throw in some right hand action in there. d00d check out Angeldeath's song "The Black Gate" because thats exactly the kinda shit i'm talking about, on the very first riff. its 1/4 note staccato chords, but I throw in a lot of fast palm-muting things, but NOT just straight 4/4 rythmically.... kinda like a gallop, but not exactly.

I can't explain it in words, you'll just have to listen to that song to hear what I'm talking about. But otherwise I think its great thrash; I'm not an expert so I can't give an experienced listener's opinion, but it makes me think of Testament and Megadeth.

so yeah, check out The Black Gate by Angeldeath and you'll see what I mean w/ the right hand technique thing www.myspace.com/angeldeath518

Recorded some ideas at practice today. These will eventually be worked into a song. www.myspace.com/winterfellusa
Sound is pretty solid except for the drums; only on one of the parts can you really hear what he's doing, which sucks because he's an awesome drummer.
Suggestions?

They're just ideas. I'm looking for comments on the riffs themselves and on potential arrangements of them; they haven't been arranged into any particular order and the length they are played for is just how long we played them for today.

WAIF, Im listening to the third section atm, so idk what comes after that. But I think the second section, followed by a couple half note power chords, then going into the first riff would sound good. And if you did alternating sections of the first and third riffs after that I think it would sound cool. I really like the riffs and I think they would work well together if properly combined, not necessarily as how I mentioned, I'm just throwing ideas out.

Well, it still sounds like Morbid Angel. I like the stuff from the Hordes of Sickness/Legions of Hate EP better, as I remember. Speaking of which, are you ever gonna send me that stuff?

yeah man i'm getting to it lol, i've just been reallly busy since finals have started now. I got 'em all together right now, I just haven't had a chance to pack them all up together. Which I guess I could do now....

but dude I find that HIGHLY HIGHLY interesting that you think it sounds like Morbid Angel, because I was just thinking about it, and I think its the first song I've written where I didn't think about them AT ALL, or use them for inspiration at all. It all just kinda came together out of nowhere when I was jamming, and then we fleshed it out together at practice. Usually I'll be inspired by a specific song, which will get me moving and then I go from there.

Its funny tho, cuz we've ended up dubbing certain parts "the Immortal section", "the Decapitated verse" and "the Darkthrone thing".

The song isn't quite finished yet, probably like... 96% so. It'll be a lot better when we play tomorrow because I used a little artist's liscense with editing some stuff... lol
