Post your music here if you want people to comment on it

My band is Cadavarice (bet you never would have guessed that!) and we're an oldschool influenced death metal band. I've got practice recordings up on our Facebook page which is linked in my sig.

There's only vocals on song 1 currently, and that was just a test for that vocal style that we've already ditched.

San Antonio based female-fronted power/prog metal, Heliosaga (similar to but less bombastic than bands like Nightwish, Leaves' Eyes, Epica, etc):

Our song 'The Conquest' features a guitar solo by ex-Elegy guitarist Gilbert Pot.

All positive comments, constructive criticism, advice and suggestions are greatly appreciated. By the way, if you are in or around San Antonio and are interested, we are looking for a main guitarist.

To much layering on the vocals. Sounds good when only one is going but when you have all 50000000 it sounds like the rupturing of a donkeys anus.

Are you speaking of the overly used echos or just all in general? Usually when I do vocals I always do two tracks and pan them fullty left and right for substance and girth, but is that a bad habitt to get into?

Terrible habit in my opinion. I only ever like to layer when I am doing highs and lows at the same time or it's a point for gang vocals. Oh and the over use of echos haha. The substance and girth should either come naturally or with use of proper mixing, reverb and echo.

Once you guys are using better mics you shouldn't have a problem with the substance honestly. I'm looking forward to hearing it then.

After 3 years of working together, my and fellow UM forum member's doom band has a singer and the album is coming together.

Not the final mix but here it is:
