Man oh man. For worst, speaking as if I was in other peoples shoes, I would say me. Not because the music I like is bad, but because the music I don't like

I guess I could say something similar about myself. Though I like thrash and the big three trad bands (Sabbath, Priest, Maiden), I don't like any of the rock that influenced metal (which just about everyone else here seems to like). That's why I made the Zeppelin comment in my first post.

Yes, I hardly listen to thrash metal, thats not to say I don't listen to heavily thrash metal influenced stuff (Bathory etc.). Just look at my collection, and you can see how little thrash metal I listen to.

How is this a reliable measure for good/bad taste?

Ha, now your post reminded me something that one guy said once on Metal-Archives: "yea, but you don't like thrash and therefore are not a person.

If by good I meant broad, then I have the worst taste, or among the worst. I don't only like black metal and death metal, but I don't like any non-metal, including hard rock.

I like thrash, but it's not for everyone. What I don't understand, is if someone likes both death/black and trad/power, but not thrash, which would lie in between. I like everything from brutal death/extreme black to trad metal, and everything in between, but nothing softer than trad metal (ie no rock).

No offense taken. Taste is a subjective thing. This thread is good for giving shout outs to people who like the same stuff you do.

I suspect that over time, you'll start to branch out more into older forms of Death Metal and more non-USBM.

Best: Doomcifer, IoftheStorm, Dodens because they are the ones I know that likes traddoom alot. Fotmbm, J., Crimson_Velvet, etc. has nice tastes too, for other reasons though.

Worst: I don't really keep track on people with bad taste but because The Ozzman bragged that he had so broad taste I checked his last.fm and it was neither particularly broad nor any good. ;D

The only thing I'd say is bad about V5's taste is brutal death metal imo. Other than that, I'm pretty much on par with his taste.
