Found these on Youtube of a recent Powermad show in MN.

In my opinion, they sound pretty freakin' sweet! I'm surprised Joel can still hit the high notes.

I was always a big supporter of this band back in the late 80's. I saw a recent clip on one of those Bang Your Head DVD things. yeah..he can still hit those notes.

[War Ensemble]

The video is from this past Saturday. I think it was the first US show in approximately 14-15 years. It was a great show. They sounded much better than the clip. They were playing at a brewery. It was a celebration for a new beer they were releasing. Todd, the guitarist, is the main brewer there.

They are planning to release an ep of songs they had written but never released in the early 90's. They then plan to release a new full length CD of new songs they have been working on. They are also hoping to play out more now.

I think they said they were hoping to have the EP out by next spring, but don't quote me on that.

I was a guge fan of Powermad back in the day. In fact, I still throw in "Absolute Power" from time to time. Joel doesn't look right bald though. The voice doesn't fit the face now for some reason, but he sure sounds good. Any new powermad release will be a must buy for me.
