So in case people didn't know I haven't matched other peoples tones in a long time but instead I've been "profiling" my own studio tones into my Axe-Fx. Now... I used to own a Mesa Roadster a long time ago and I regret selling it but now my bandmate has one so what I did was match it's preamp and it seems to be working quite perfectly. This way I'm not limited with just one IR but I can use any impulse I want with the Roadster preamp.
Here's a test with Trevoire's Mesa SM57 impulse:
It's not tight playing I have no noise gate to show the authentity of the amp like characters the matching was able to capture.
Does it sound real enough?
