Pro tools 9 download

i just bought the license off another user from the forum,

which is now downloaded to my ilok, however

i cannot figure out how in gods name i download it :/

You cant,

You need an account on the Avid website and the software registered in your name and then download links will be in your account.

You'll have to get the person you bought it off to either give you their account login or download it for you or ask avid to transfer the account to you.

how can i ask avid to transfer the account to me? shouldnt "infectedsniper" do that?

yes thats what i meant sorry if it didnt read like that, dunno if Avid have now changed the software re-registration policy since 9 came out and went native, but it always used to be the case that software was non transferable, only hardware via an ownership transfer form,
But yes get the seller to contact them (really they shoulda made these enquiries before selling it to you or at least offered a DVD installer)

Well either get his account or get hold of a DVD from someone and take good care of it, the updates are all freely downloadable its just the initial installer thats not.

Aye was just about to message you back about this dude, from the looks of things on the Avid site you only have downloads on the website if you've bought a download only version of PT9. Do you know anyone local to you that has PT9 and could loan you the DVD installer?

You can transfer it...I called Avid about that...before you bought it before me...jerk =P
I forgot where it was, but give them a call and explain the situation and they can transfer ownership.

You can also buy the software replacement disks from sweetwater or avid directly for about $15 bucks.
