Problem with Groove Tubes "The Brick"

I figured it was the tubes but I tried replacing them and got bupkiss. It'll suddenly get quiet and distort during tracking. Here's a clip.

hey whats up dude i own a brick

when it fucks up are you turning the gain knob?

mine doesn't do anything to that extreme
but i get a crackle and a hint of distortion once in awhile
but again nothing like yours

nope, when it happens I'm not doing a damn thing.

I also noticed that I can sometimes fix it by turning the thing on and off several times, but this doesn't always work...

@ Zombietakeover: Spray some electronics cleaner on the pot, turn it a few times and let it dry.
