ProgPower 2014 Wish List

Since industrial metal bands are included in PP2014 discussions, i'd love to see Mnemic at the fest too.

I like Mnemic, but considering how much they tour here in the US, their drawing power, and their core audience, I think you'd have a bigger chance to catch them on tour as opposed to at ProgPower. I could be wrong, though...

I am almost 100% positive they haven't toured in the USA since at least 2009 (which is when I started to get into them).

If there's ever any room for bands that lean more towards melodic hard rock ala Pretty Maids again I'd love to see any of these bands at ProgPower (and probably be the only one in some cases).
Gotthard
Brother Firetribe
The Poodles
Crashdiet/ Crazy Lixx/ Hardcore Superstar
House of Lords
Tokyo Blade
Eclipse
WET
Eden's Curse
Voodoo Circle
Ten
M.ill.ion
Outloud
Wig Wam
Treat
ColdSpell

And some pipe dreams
Europe and Mr. Big

I think you need to attend MR3 for that type of lineup. You'd be like a kid in a candy store! Within reason, I'd like to see at least one melodic rock band on the roster each year. I think Glenn has said in the past that Gotthard is pretty darned expensive if I remember correctly. Out of your list above, I'd love to see Voodoo Circle hit Center Stage.

My one band that's on my wish list is Powerwolf. That would be one fun set! An early Halloween treat! :)

Exactly. Unless Glenn plans to completely change formats next year, at best one of those bands could be on the lineup. That said, I would love to see Hardcore Superstar or Crash Diet.

As a poor college student, I'm just lucky that PPUSA is 45 minutes from my house or the moneys would quickly get out of hand. A weekend trip to Chicago would break the bank for me until I actually have real disposable income
There are a lot of bands on my list on the MRF lineup, and I know realistically it's probably 1 of those tops here at PP- but most of the power metal bands I want have already been said so I wanted to be different :D

Crashdiet just toured, including a stop in Atlanta, but Hardcore Superstar hasn't. Not sure if Glenn considers them a fit, but I know several people who would go for them alone. I know a lot of people say this, but these people actually will because they have the track record to prove it (including traveling to Europe to see them). They are actually one of two bands (Pagan's Mind being the other) that I would travel and buy a ticket for them alone. I was actually seriously looking into going to Rockstad Falun Festival in Sweden because they were both on the same bill.

Completely understood.

I know. I bought tickets for the PA show but I had to travel for work. They seem like they would be a fun band live.
