excuse me if this old news but yesterday i saw a magazine dedicated to PRS. I think it is published by Guitar Player. anyway, it's kinda hard to miss. check it out if youre into PRS. it's basically one big advertisement but there are some beaufitul guitars featured as well as a cool pictorial tour of the shop.

You should still be able to expect them for less than $6,000. You can get 100% custom made guitars here which will set you back less.

Theres no reason to need a fully custom made PRS guitar. You can get custom 22s or 24s for about 2000-2500, in just about any finish and spec you want, or make any other little upgrades you want to them for much cheaper than the 6k custom price tag.

granted $2000 is still a big chunk of change...but i feel you get every penny worth over buying a jackson, ibanez, schecter, or ESP...its night and day when it comes to feel, tone, versatility, quality and style.

buy a pre-owned one jinn...saves a lot of money that way. i bought mine used...it was only owned by one other guy for a few months, but saved me about $1000 that way.

You misunderstand. Custom 24's retail for 6 grand here. I can get a full custom guitar built from scratch by private guitar makers for less than that.

I agree. Jacksons are great. I'm still waiting for the day I can get a higher-end one though.
