Punk.

The main problem with feminism is that people confuse it with women believing their superior and should have more rights than men. Feminism is about equality.

sexism isn't bigotry. its rational thinking.

Okay, explain your rational thinking than.

Oh, and another quote.

From wikipedia.

A bigot is a person who is intolerant of or takes offence to the opinions, lifestyles or identities differing from his or her own, and bigotry is the corresponding attitude or mindset. Bigot is often used as a pejorative term to describe a person who is obstinately devoted to prejudices, especially when these views are either challenged, or proven to be false or not universally applicable or acceptable.

women abuse that right to equality all the time.

How?

easy, women want to be treated just like men but also want additional "special" treatment on top of that. you can't tell sexist jokes around them, you have to walk on eggshells and watch what you say around them or they might get upset. what ever happened to "dude to dude" camraderie that used to exist before women's lib? non-existant. now you can't be a white straight male and be proud of it without society decrying it as "morally reprehensible".

Yeah, because straight males have a lot to be proud of. Denying rights, starting wars, allowing slavery, and thinking they were born superior. This is coming from a white, straight male.

I don't see how you hate women because you can't tell dumb jokes around them. Seriously, can you maybe think of good points like the first feminists did when they started the first movements. You have no legit points to your argument. Just a lot of nonsense spewing from your mouth.

oh a self-hating white man, like I've never seen that before /sarcasm

so quick to blame the majority. what my ancestors did is none of my or your concern. the past is the past. we must forge ahead.

So you are saying that white men have not been historically bigots and rather crude to other races?

What did your ancestors do that was so worthy of being allowed to be praised?

Not really, patriarchy in itself, is a burden for men.
I agree though I believe patriarchy is simply a consequence of a sex drive. There would be no burden, patriarchy, stress or pressure if there was no sex drive. Patriarchy isn't natural for men. What's natural for men is to get into the warm, wet hole. Patriarchy is a consequence of that.

The truth is that there will never be true equality because men cannot honestly and openly tell the truth around women without offending them.
So you are saying that white men have not been historically bigots and rather crude to other races?
You don't think these other races weren't crude towards each other? White men don't own the patent on cruelty, they just managed to avoid racial persecution because they were forming nations while many other races were still tribal.

The 'cruel white men' vs. the 'peaceful tribe' is a myth. The truth is much more circumstantial. It's the same kind of myth as saying, 'white men are superior,' - no, they're not superior. Their historical 'superiority' was simply circumstantial.
What did your ancestors do that was so worthy of being allowed to be praised?
Roads, engines, industry, philosophy, mathematics, flight, etc. While white, male ancestors don't necessarily own the patents on all of these advances, they were, at the very least, progressive in all of them and more.

I don't understand how you can generalize white ancestry while claiming to hate bigotry.

@BaseDelta:

Well said, although the idea that men are more sexually-driven than women, is another myth we created on our own in society.
The whole concept of the emotive, delicate, innocent woman and the crude, rough, horndog man are just ridiculous.

While I don't have a problem with you in any way, this is pretty ignorant. It's hardly special treatment, women have only recently acquired somewhat fair rights and are finally getting somewhere in society, whereas men have had it their whole lives.
As for the jokes, that just depends on whether or not the person has a sense of humour, but it's not hard to see why it would offend a feminist.
Lastly, being a white, straight male, doesn't in any way imply that you have to fit a stereotype.

For the record, I'm not a feminist, as there are several problems with what they preach in my eyes.

I don't really get this idea at all. I think if this were true, Playgirl would be selling as much as Playboy and women would be masturbating at least 2-3 times a week but they (mostly) don't and Playgirl will never outsell Playboy because dick will never be as hot of a commodity as pussy - ever. The porno industry is marketed almost entirely towards men and it's a multi-billion dollar industry. Or take a look at advertising and count how much tits and ass you see - then compare that to the number of dudes' bulging crotches or any sexually driven ad geared towards females - the ratio is extremely one-sided. Or ask yourself why there aren't as many Chip N Dales as there are strip clubs. Or why are hookers predominantly female? There's only one answer to these questions - evolution has made men more sexually driven. It's the nature of the beast.

I think feminism definitely opened the doors to female sexuality and taught us that they also like sex a lot more than we thought - but as much as men? No way...not even close. This is one of the reasons why I sometimes have a hard time taking feminism seriously. I don't think females understand or respect the power that they already have - the power of sex. The power to bring grown men to their knees. The power to make men sacrifice themselves in a suicide bomb. Then, when they see another women utilizing that power, they berate her and call her a slut. I'll never understand that.

...or maybe I've just read too many Conan comics...
