aisde from the band im currently playing in, w, ive been playing (attempting) along to nile's ithyphalic record, as i really rate their tone on this album highly :Smokedev: I picked up a very reasonably priced TSL100 head and have been trying to dial in a tone somewhere in the ball park of this album but am finding it difficult. I even tride puting a tc electronic classic booster in front to kick the preamp in the nuts and have acheived moderate gain increases. Obviously karl and dallas dial in a fair bit of gain, but the thing i really rate around their tone is the screaming mid range harmonics that ring out on tracks like eat of the dead etc. - has anyone else here had a similar experience? i havent seen much info around the net on gear they use outside of DSL100 heads. I read on the nile catacombs that they use a rat? surely not...
